(Puglia in Italian, in Pùgghie barese , Foggiano and tarantino , Puia in Salento , in Poulye Francoprovenal formerly Apulia ) , known more commonly Apulia or Puglia is a region in Italy, located in the southeastern countries. His gentile is Apulian . The region has 4,083,050 inhabitants1 and capital is Bari . Bounded on the north by the Molise laCampanie west and Basilicata to the southwest , the area is washed by the Adriatic Sea to the east and the Ionian Sea to the south. The region includes the provinces of Bari, Barletta -Andria -Trani , Brindisi, Foggia , Lecce and Taranto.
