Red varieties


(approximately 19,631 ha) are, in order : Dornfelder ( 7,348 ha) , Pinot Noir ( 3909 ha) , blue Portuguese ( 3,860 ha ), Regent , Saint-Laurent , Dunkelfelder , Merlot, Pinot Meunier , Cabernet Sauvignon, Heroldrebe , early Pinot Noir , Cabernet Mitos , Acolon , Cabernet Dorsa , Domina .


The Rhineland- Palatinate (German: Rheinland- Pfalz) is a component of the sixteen federal states of Germany.


It was created August 30, 1946 , formed from the northern part of the French occupation zone and was legally confirmed by referendum on the draft constitution 18 May 1947 . The last two plates are found only partially in Rhineland- Palatinate. These four plates between 400 and 820 meters above sea level , are rather rough , covered with wood and much less populated than the valleys.

Rhenish Hesse ( Rheinhessen ) with the cities of Bingen , Mainz and Worms is bounded to the west by the Nahe and the Rhine in the north -east . Farther south lies the Rhenish Palatinate, with the average mountain Haardt , limited to the right by the Rhine valley to the south by the Lauter and west by the Saarland .
